In order to receive the benefits of the sun, it has to penetrate your skin,
with no sunblock and not through glass.

So what does the SUN do for you?

  • Vitamin D — which boosts the body’s immune system
  • Boosts Serotonin levels in the brain — lifts mood

Seasonal affective disorder or SAD causes depressive symptoms in the winter or summer, spring or autumn year after year.  Also known as Seasonal Depression.  A number of treatments are utilized for this disorder including sunlight, bright lights, or light therapy.

Light therapy or phototherapy is the exposure to specific wavelenghts of light using lasers, light-emitting diodes, fluorescent lamps, dichroic lamps or very bright, full-spectrum light, usually controlled by various devices.

So make to sure to get a little light in your Day!
