Imagine a chair in front of you. You try to push it but there is a person on the other side holding it strong so it won’t budge. That is how life is without mindfulness. You keep pushing and pushing and all you see is the chair and the hands holding it.
Imagine the person lets go and moves the chair to the side. The chair is still in the room but all of a sudden it is no longer the only thing you can see. You are able to look around the room.
Mindfulness helps you to be in existence with your thoughts. The chair is your thoughts.
